"Food is great. I suggest trying to get there before it’s gone for good," someone posted under the article on Facebook.

The owners of Grey Horse Tavern in Bayport announced on the restaurant's Facebook on Friday, May 3 that it will serve its last meal in early June and that the business and building are up for sale.

Another Facebook comment said, "It’s business. I don’t see it as sad. I see it as people who’ve had their fill. The place will change hands, and life goes on."

Some posts were sarcastic, "So 'popular' it's closing," and others were from well-wishers. "Most restauranteurs know going in how hard it is to make the business succeed, probably has one of the highest failure rates even if the food is good. Just wish them well in their next endeavor," said a Facebook post.

"Great restaurant in this area, great atmosphere, and great food, will be missed," another person posted.

Some of the comments mentioned the live music at Grey Horse Tavern.

One says, "I think it's a nice place. I never ate there but have been several times to see one of my favorite local bands."

"Great place with awesome food and a really cool atmosphere. Very sad to see it go," another fan posted.
